Day 29 in the #NaPoWriMo Challenge

Day 29’s optional prompt, was to write a poem in the form of a review~ via The NaPoWriMo Website

You could review either animate or inanimate things, real places or imaginary places.

So with “Day 29’s Prompt” I have chosen an example of a Review Poem from the “Poetry Soup Website” by Jan Allison, then after that is a new piece I have written – not in line with todays optional prompt!

Happy reading and hope you all enjoy!

We can all sit back and review the past
Of relationships that sadly didn’t last
We ask ourselves just what went wrong
And our songbird sings a sad blues song

Time to move on and get on with our life
Deal with all our old worries and strife
We can only learn from past a mistake
Hope for better days with less heartache

We cannot predict what the future will bring
But I hope in time your heart does sing
And you find the one that you’ll adore
Restoring happiness to your life once more

By Jan Allison

Metamorphosing into this new day
Full of renewed hope and grace
She strives forth
To shine on as she rises
Accepting the lessons learnt
Upon her transformation
From her past form
Cherishing her new armour
Of lucid perception
She will fly on
Into this tumult of human life
Stronger than she was before!
