#PicturePromptChallenge by Midwest Fantasy

The face in the moon
Daring her with unnerving smile
Drawing her in with the pull of a puppeteer
And her resistance nil

Could she cross over?
Take that fatal step?
If she left her reality
Descended into this world
All would be lost
Left behind
Never to able to return
Her reality dissipated
Something rogue in its place

Trepidation’s fingers crawling along her spine
Shivers of titillation spiking her heart
Lustful longing shredding her moral conscience
As she stands a quivering mess

Fog’s mist rolling slowly in against her skin
Strong, cool, luring
Carrying a voice only her body hears
She knows it is his power calling
Wicked, chilling yet paralysingly impelling
Inhaling his seductive scent surrounding her
Filling her lungs with a hunger like no other
She feels her bones crying to be carried away
He is winning
Her need for immortality in his lascivious world
Gripping her entire being too strongly

Breathing deeply, biting her lip
She walks forward
Eyes smiling
Freely forgetting life as she knew it…

  1. Lord but this is a powerful piece of writing!
I felt everything she feels, shared her senses, her fears, her inhibitions and her final willing submission to her desires… And all through the power of your words.
    An incredible piece. Brava!

  2. Thank you all for such kind comments. It means so much to me coming from all you accomplished writers. I am very humbled to be a part of this with all of you.
