My Review of “Finding Loves Wings” by Zoey Derrick

My Review:

This is beautiful and sensual romantic tale of two young people who accidentally find each other on a beautiful Island in the French Polynesia area whilst trying to escape from their real lives back in the USA, where both of them have just broken up with their previous partners who had cheated on them. It also gives you a bit of a feel into what life must be like for the rich and famous….covering privacy, scandal, paparazzi and fan issues!
 
I loved how the story drags you in and I found you connect with it easily, even though it’s miles away from a lifestyle you would ever live in, but you connect with characters…that they are simply just like the rest of us ….looking for affection, love, respect, support and trust in this journey of life!
 
The main characters share a lot of hot and steamy action in the bedroom….and quite frankly it made me very curious about certain body-piercings and tattoos  where I had to do some further investigation (of course) to full understand the story ;-P And Oh My Word, Tristan certainly got my attention…lol, and actually so did Cami’s, it sounded so beautiful. Also I totally loved how the “Title” fits into the story, very cleverly done! 
 
This is a well written debut novel by the Author Zoey Derrick! She keeps you captivated throughout wondering what is going to happen next in this steamy romantic tale with a few twists and turns…can’t wait to find out what happens next in the sequel!

Lost Heart

Each night I lay down to sleep,
begins another tear in this soul of mine.
The moment I close my eyes,
her eyes become all that I can see.
As though piercing into the very depth of my soul,
planting seeds of desire, warmth, and hope.
As this fantasy continues in that transient moment
between awake and asleep,
those pleasurable seeds start to bloom.
Not into beautiful flowers,
but a vicious form of carnivorous plant,
like the Venus fly trap.
Those beautiful thoughts,
those seeds,
that drew me in,
left me vulnerable and hopeful,
longing for happiness and her touch,
now feast on such hope.
Those enchanting eyes,
that encouraged my love
the moment I first met her,
smelt her, heard her laugh.
Those same eyes quickly become
a physical fit of laughter and ridicule.
They transform into a realisation
that these sensations i feel,
just through thought and longing,
are not real.
They now remind me
that I still lay here alone
between this baron bed sheets.
She is not mine.
She does not see me
with the complete
adoration that I see her.
She is enveloped in his arms.
I am enveloped in mine.
She has my heart.
I have none.

My Review:

This series is fun, sexy and an enjoyable read! I couldn’t put these books down once I started….They take you on a steamy tale of two young couples who go off on holiday together to the sunny Greek Island called Kos, for a weeks vacation. Once there they end up exploring more than just the Island …and adventure into to a journey of fulfilling desired fantasies! There are three books in this series and each is filled with hot and sexy adult action ;-)

The Author’s writing style is playful, fresh and witty – yet he cleverly builds each storyline so it flows perfectly, keeping the reader captivated throughout the three books as to what will happen next!
.
 I look forward to reading s’more of Cameron Lincoln works!

My Review:

This book is a sexy and hot read with elements of beautiful romantic tenderness in it as well. It takes you into a tale of mutual attraction between two work colleagues and the dilemma of whether or not to act on their feelings and desires for each other, especially being between a Boss and his PA.
 
The Author captures you with her brilliant descriptive writing style – and by the end of the novel couldn’t believe that this was her first novel, she is very talented!  I loved the way storyline unfolds and you get to read what both the characters are thinking and feeling the whole way through. 
 
Plus I loved the Suits, Nylons and Architecture references….which makes me want to visit some of the places described! I was totally hooked and left wanting s’more please! ;-)

My 5-Star Review:
Author Kat Bastion first debut novel is simply amazing! This author has great talent, depth and class! Her writing style is so descriptive that it makes you feel like you’re right there watching each scene evolve before your eyes! I was honoured to receive this book to review and once I started I couldn’t put it down!
 
The way the story unfolds is intriguing ….it starts off in the modern day twenty first century with a young archeology student, Isobel MacInnes, who is in Scotland visiting her Seanair/ or grandfather who is gravely ill. He talks to her about finding out the secrets of Highlands history not told. Then on her way home to California she discovers by accident a mysterious artifact that ends up changing her life as she knows it forever…she discovers time-travel, Scottish Highlander history and sensual romance with two soul-mates in different time periods!
 
The story transports you back in time to the thirteenth century of the Highlander clan of the laird Iain Brodie, an extremely hot alpha male who wears a plaid/ or kilt…and oh how I love a strong sexy man in a kilt!
 
Then you are transported even further back in time over 1000 years to AD 84, the time period of the Scottish Picts, into a tribe called Caereni, who’s leader is medieval alpha male called Velloc whom is naked or wearing furs …oh my…drool! 
 
The story is full of adventure, hot passion, historical references and rituals which had me completely spellbound! It’s a very well written story and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!!!

# A very heart-breaking tale ….but I am so proud of this young Lady’s courage to share her story and to try and help others!!! Sadly this does happen and awareness is crucial….when I was 15 yrs old and having a sleep over at a friends house her father tried it on with me in the middle of the night… Luckily I got away but still felt awful as you trust that person cause its your friends dad!?! ~ Debs x
