🎤 Music has been in my life since I can remember ….My dad had one of the old style reel tape recorders which I’d listen to for hours as a child!
My sisters first boyfriend was in a Band called Nitewolf, they were heavily influenced by Status Quo and I must have been 11/12 yrs old at the time and was allowed to attend their Gigs!
I learnt to play a few Instruments over the years ~ Fife, Flute, Clarinet, a little Keyboard and Singing; I was in the School Band and Choirs, but haven’t played for years!
My son’s father is a Drummer and Sound Engineer – when I was with him I spent 7 years in the Music Scene in Brisbane and London, many times I was their driver come roadie and met some wonderful characters along the way… especially at the Glastonbury & Reading Festivals!
I owned a great collection of Vinyl but about 12 years ago sadly I lost them when they got wrecked in some floods we had :(

I wanted so much to comment about the fact that you listed R.E.M.’s Green album and about how you and I like the same Beatles records. But then I saw Frogstomp by Silverchair! One of my all time favorites and one I’m DYING to get on vinyl some day. I’m also a HUGE Eartha Kitt fan and urge you to find “Live at the Plaza” (“Sell Me” is such a good song, I would dress up in drag once just to sing it).
MOG
Thats so cool and I will see if my son’s dad can get you the vinyl of Silverchair!
Ha! Good luck! It’s EXTREMELY rare.
I adore Tracy Chapman and The Violent Femmes as well and I hope you’ve heard Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto, I think it’s their best by miles!
Hey MOG sorry I’ve taken so long to reply to this….No I haven’t listened to that Album but will! And still having a go at looking for you down here, been to a few Album Markets ….I’ll never say never lol :-)
